Anushka Sharma is an Indian actress and former model, who is seen in Bollywood films. She made her acting debut with Aditya Chopra's "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" opposite Shahrukh Khan. Anushka has also portrayed the role of a vivacious girl, a wedding planner in the romantic comedy "Band Baaja Baaraat". She was seen as Jaggu in the movie 'PK' opposite Aamir Khan. The gorgeous beauty was recently seen in the latest released flick NH10. She will now be seen in movies Dil Dhadakne Do opposite Ranveer Singh and Bombay Velvet opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Anushka Sharma was born on May 1, 1988 to Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma in Ayodhya, U.P. Her father works in Indian Army who hails from Uttar Pradesh and mother is a housewife belonging to Garhwali. She was brought up in Bangalore and completed her studies from Army School. She is a graduate in Arts from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. Model-turned-Actress never had any thoughts to become actress but later on started gaining fame from her very first film and fetched her Best Actress nomination at the Filmfare Awards ceremony for Band Baaja Baarat. She later won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Yash Chopra's romance "Jab Tak Hai Jaan".
