Dhoom: 3 English: Blast 3, also abbreviated and known as D:3 and D3) is a 2013 Indian action thriller film, written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra. The third installment of the Dhoom series, it features Aamir Khan as the antagonist paired opposite Katrina Kaif. The film broke several records on its opening days in India and abroad. Box Office India declared Dhoom 3 "the biggest hit of 2013" after two days of release, with the film grossing 4 billion (US$65 million) worldwide in just ten days, making it the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time domestically and worldwide. The overseas gross of Dhoom 3 was US$27 million—eventually breaking the record of 3 Idiots (anotherAamir Khan starrer) and making it the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in overseas markets. It was the 75th highest grossing film of 2013 worldwide, being declared an All-Time Blockbuster in India
